Volume 12-09
After the busy summer I had, you'd think I'd take a break. Well, after
getting back from the Missouri State Fair, we got busy getting a house
ready to sell (our rental property - who do you know wants to buy a
house?), and then I promptly sat down in my office chair after the
week's worth of house work to start getting the word out about my new
reading program for schools this fall and my library program for next
summer. Not to mention it was a rather busy August for the Mike
Schneider Band, too!
Speaking of which, we had the privilege of performing for the very
first time at St. Joseph Parish Festival in Big Bend and St. Mary and
St. Robert Parish Festival in Union Grove. Add to that shows at the
Ozaukee County Fair, Triglav Park, Oak Creek Lions Fest, and concerts
in the park for West Allis and Hustisford, and it was a great month!
This month you can
see the Mike Schneider Band in action in Oak Creek tomorrow as we warm
up the crowd for Steve Meisner. We'll take the stage from 11:30 AM to
1:30 PM, then Steve takes it home from 2:00-6:00 PM. Hope to see you
there! Next weekend, look for us on Saturday at St. Gregory the Great
Parish Festival from noon until 4:00 PM. Different day, same great
festival! On Sunday, September 16 we'll be at the Hiawatha Ballroom
from 2:00-5:30 PM, where you can enjoy dancing on a large wooden
floor. The following weekend, help us celebrate Oktoberfest at
Potawatomi Bingo Casino in their Expo Hall from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday
and Saturday night. We then wrap up the month with Oktoberfest in West
Chicago for the Sister Cities Oktoberfest celebration starting at 7:00
PM. Details on all of these great events can be found below, plus get
a map and directions as always on the Schedule page at
www.mikeschneiderband.com.
October promises to
be one of my busiest to date, with 21 shows and counting in four
states, including a six-day run in Savannah for their library system's
Oktoberfest. Can't wait to head down there when it's likely to be
quite a bit cooler here! Details on my Pint Size Polkas shows in GA
can be found on the Events
page. Looking forward to another great trip south!
As always, be sure to join our growing list of fans on Facebook
here, or the Mike Schneider Band

Until next month, Happy Labor Day and let the fall festivities begin!
