Volume 12-04
The big news from this month is actually really old news, but quite
noteworthy if your collection of Mike Schneider Band CDs is
incomplete. I'm happy to announce the reissue of my very first CD from
1998, The Pursuit of Polka's Lost Frontier. Fifteen great polka
songs await your ears. Want to see the complete list, listen to song
samples, or purchase your copy? Then head over to the
Music page at
www.mikeschneiderband.com
and click on the thumbnail of the gold-colored CD in the column
on the right. At just $11.99 plus shipping, it's worth the click over
to check it out!
In other big news, I made a fair amount of progress last month on a
new recording I'm working on for the Mike Schneider Band. A few of the
songs scheduled for the release include "No Beer Today," "One More
Dance," "You Can't Be True Dear," "Old Milwaukee," and many more -
probably 14 or 15 total tracks. Family life has been extremely busy
(and noisy, which can make recording a challenge!), and I'll be on the
road most of the summer for Pint Size Polkas, but I am working toward
a late 2012 release. Stay tuned to
www.mikeschneiderband.com and
especially
www.facebook.com/mikeschneiderband as
I'll share news there and possibly even a few sample clips as things
progress.
This month I'll be heading to Minnesota for two Pint Size Polkas shows
later this week, and then I'll be celebrating National Library Week in
Fremont, WI, on Wednesday, April 11 with one more Pint Size Polkas
show for the month. Plus, look for the band and I at Pulaski Inn and
Essen Haus later in the month. Maps, details and more on the
Events page and
on the
Schedule page at
www.mikeschneiderband.com!
Next month promises to be busier, then that look out after that -
June, July and August are jam-packed. Looking forward to another great
summer!
