Volume 11-12
So this month’s update is several days late, for which I apologize.
But I think I have a few good reasons. First, as I announced in my
mid-November special update, our son Evan arrived on November 17,
bringing chaos to our daily schedule. It is, however, a very welcome
chaos and we’re grateful he’s doing well! Heather’s recovery has been
significantly more challenging than after her last two deliveries, but
thankfully she’s doing better now, too. Thanks to everyone for your
thoughts and prayers!
The other reason this update has been delayed is that I’ve been
waiting on a bit of good scheduling news to pass along. My schedule
for next summer now includes nearly 100 shows in seven states:
Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin.
This includes 18 newly booked shows at the Missouri State Fair in
August, plus eight more new shows at libraries in eastern Oklahoma in
June. My new goal with my travels is to hit 10 states and 175 programs
between June and August. I’m up to seven and 98 so far with a good
portion of the booking season ahead of me and plenty of open time
slots. Want to see Pint Size Polkas at your library? Now’s the time to
head in and let your local children’s librarian know! Just give them
this link:
www.pintsizepolkas.com/library. It
would be great to visit your community!
Good news for the
Mike Schneider Band also continues to stream in, including a return
engagement at Triglav Park this August, plus St. Jerome’s in
Oconomowoc, a brand-new Polka Mass and Parish Festival for the Mike
Schneider Band. Stay tuned for more details on these dates as Spring
approaches, and of course stay tuned right here to
www.mikeschneiderband.com for maps
and more information about each event.
Finally, one more
reminder that if you’d like to bring in the New Year polka style,
you’ll have two opportunities: First, we’ll be at the Pulaski Inn in
Cudahy for an afternoon NYE party from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Call Helen today
at (414) 543-2499 for reservations as this event fills up quickly!
More of a night owl? Then join us at the Essen Haus in Madison
starting at 8:30 p.m. for a night of New Year’s polka fun. Hope to see
you at one of these great events!
And as always, be sure to join our growing list of fans on Facebook
here, or the Mike Schneider Band
here. Once you’re there, click the
Like button at the top of the page. In the meantime, have a great
week!
Until next month, happy Thanksgiving!
