Oktoberfest season is already coming to a close, but you still have a
few more times you can catch us in full Lederhosen mode, namely this
Friday, October 7 and next Saturday, October 15 at the Grand Geneva
Resort in Lake Geneva, WI. We start both nights at 7:30 p.m. Come for
the great music and spend the weekend at one of Wisconsin’s premier
resort facilities!
Looking for a more traditional polka dance? Then join us this coming
Sunday at the Hiawatha Ballroom in Sturtevant, WI starting at 2:00
p.m. Enjoy dancing on a large wooden dance floor! Looking ahead to
additional special events for the Mike Schneider Band, plan to attend
the Wisconsin Polka Boosters Christmas Dinner and Dance by making your
reservations today! Call Vern or Shirley at (262) 252-2191 to secure
your spot at one of the finest polka-themed Christmas events you’ll
ever attend. Fantastic food and décor provided by the Pulaski Inn in
Cudahy, with music by yours truly and the band from 11:30 a.m. until
6:00 p.m. Looking even farther ahead, we’ll also be playing at the
Pulaski Inn for their New Year’s Eve Afternoon Dance from 1:00 until
4:00 PM. Make your reservations for this fantastic early bird New
Year’s event by calling Helen at (414) 543-2499. Seating is very
limited at both of these events, so make the call today and see you
there!
Oh, and of course if you’re looking for a way to celebrate New Year’s
Eve as the clock strikes midnight here in Wisconsin, join us at the
Essen Haus in Madison where we’ll take the stage from 8:30 p.m. until
1:00 AM.
On the Pint Size Polkas front, I just returned from three school
performances earlier this week in Janesville and Verona, WI, and am
currently working on additional opportunities in Wisconsin and
Minnesota for the remainder of the school year. In February, we have
firm commitments to perform for a family night event at Washington
Elementary in Whitewater, plus our third straight year for Kids in the
Rotunda at the Overture Center in Madison, which is always a great
time! Next summer is also shaping up to keep pace with this past one,
including bookings so far in Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, and
Wisconsin, with many more likely to come. Here’s hoping for the best
summer yet in 2012!
